The Château du Vieux Montpezat has a lustrous red color that is wonderfully enticing. There are very pleasant fruity aromas on the nose that continue on the palate. This is a delicious wine with a voluptuous structure. The Château du Vieux Montpezat is aged for 12 months in 1/3 new oak barrels and 2/3 in tanks.

Located in the small Aquitaine village of Saint-Magne-de-Castillon, Château du Vieux Montpezat is a relatively petit estate of less than 25 acres. Like many of Bordeaux’s smaller properties, Château du Vieux Montpezat offers an impressive concentration of character and winemaking know-how, thanks to owner Jean François Meynard. Meynard and his team work diligently to respect the estate’s native sandy clay-limestone soil.
